BIRDS WITH GOLD LEAVES

This series mocks the idea in art (and status-seeking culture) of adding 'gold leafing' to a painting as a means of denoting wealth or affluence, and instead shows the true worthlessness of gold in the natural world. These birds' interests are the same whether the leaf is gold, or just a candy wrapper, floating in the breeze.
